Brett and I went to possible the greatest concert of all time on Friday, February 9, 2007. Less than Jake played a concert at the State Theatre in St. Petersburg, Florida. They played their entire Hello Rockview album. We knew this coming and thought that it would be sweet to hear an album played in its entirety.

After the last song on the album, they announced that they were no longer contractually obligated to play their songs well, so they were going to get drunk and take requests for the rest of the night.This is the most amazing thing i have ever scene at a concert. They took request for the rest of the night. They ended up playing about 20 songs, give or take a few. Additionally, they had two old people come on stage and dance, allowed a fan to sing a song, and allow another fan to come and dance onstage. They flat out put on the greatest show.

After the show Brett and I decided to go this bar we saw before the concert that had beer pong tables. Yes I said beer pong tables. Now we usually only have a couple of beers and then go home so we are not driving drunk, but come on, would you pass up beer pong at a bar. Pitchers of beer were only 5 dollars. We ended up playing two games and we each won a game. Obviously after i beat Brett the first game he started to cheat and use his Inspector Gadget arms. If you do not know what this is, please see my Why I hate brett post. So after the two games we were pretty drunk, so we decided to catch a movie. This is the greatest idea ever. Drink some beer, go to a movie at midnight, sober up and then drive home. Classic and safe.

Brett and I have had some great times over the last 3 years of living in Tampa, but this may be the best. The only thing that was missing was bush diving. I guess we grew out of that after our first year down here. There is something about being at a concert and having a beer that makes the world seem right.

Man I almost forgot. We renamed the chainsaw massacre bar that we go to before concerts to the Hostel Bar. I swear someday I am going to be abducted from the bathroom and someone with torture me. It is so scary and the bar tender has the dirty russian accent like the dirty girls in the movie. Man i hope they dont spike my PBR. Also, apparently Brett learned how to play pool. WHAT!!!! During bar olympics this was my for sure win. What the hell am i going to do now. I cant beat him at darts because the Inspector Gadget thing he has going on so i am lost.
