Fire Ann Coulter

This is hilarious. The insane blonde headed ditz on Fox News is always degrading to liberals or someone that doesn’t see her point of view. The other night on Hannity and Colmes, Ann Coulter was spewing all of this garbage over the Rage Against The Machine incident. Obviously Rage Against the Machine isn’t left or right, they are complete anarchy but Ann went on to say that these types of bashings and threats are only made towards Conservatives and never against liberals. Here is what she said:
COULTER: … talking to these sorts of liberal lunatics, I mean, it never comes from right-wingers. It’s always from left-wingers.
COULTER: They missed with me because they throw like girls, but these people are animals and to be ginning them up all the time — and you never see it the other way. I promise you, Michael Moore can walk unmolested through Bob Jones University, through the entire state of Mississippi. It is always one side. And I don’t think that’s helping Democrats’ P.R. campaign to look like they’re civilized people.
COULTER: No, no, no, I’m sick of this, “Both sides, both sides.” You name a conservative who’s been attacked on a college campus. You name — or rather, a liberal. You name a liberal or a Democrat whose campaign headquarters have been destroyed, which happens regularly to Republicans, which happens during the campaigns. No, this is not both sides.
Well Miss Fox New Demon Spawn - “A 19-year-old Louisiana State University student was being held Friday on $1 million bail, accused of planning an attack against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.” - More on this story at CNN.
This whole one sided view of everything needs to stop. This lady is continuously on Fox spewing all of this hate towards democrats and carries the typical conservative attitude - the attitude that she’s apparently above everyone else. If you check out the YouTube Video just listen to her talk down to the other guests trying to give the show a “Fair and Balanced” approach. She is always talking over and giving childish responses. The lady is pathetic and needs to be silenced.

You had me till the last paragraph…. You bash the “one sided view” of Fox News - then go on to write “The lady is pathetic and needs to be silenced.”

I was speaking of her one-sided view of everything.. not Fox News. Because I have seen other guests on the show representing the other side, like I mentioned in that last paragraph. My whole rant was strictly about the Demon Spawn.

Hi Brett,
usually I don’t read blogs but since your design appeared on cssmania.com I looked and find your blogs interesting.
I am a conservative - ya I guess republican. Ann Coulter is at times over the edge but behind all the crass (I hope I spelled that right) a lot of what she says is true. I don’t agree with the way she spews it.
On the other hand I sit down and with that Nincompoop bill Maher (that claim he isn’t “nor democrat or republican”) and uses his non fact based reviews of world including that people should not multiply and makes fun also in a crassy way about couples who chooses to have lots of kids. So come on its bad on both sides and with the addition of so many clueless - living in a bubble celebrities - there is more exposure to republican/conservative bashing.
I hope I didn’t dirty up your blog to much

First off, thanks for chiming in Ronnie. Always good to get another point of view on everything.
As for the demon spawn, Ann Coulter, I didn’t even know she spoke any truths. Every time I hear her talk it’s always tearing someone else down. She doesn’t explain anything in terms of “what to do” just in terms of how her way is better than democrats and how horrible and lowly democrats really are.
I will agree though that this back and forth name calling is equal from both sides. There are figures on each side that seem to live and die by the constant name calling and bashing of the opposition. I think it’s important for people to push these people to talk about the issues and not about the people that are opposing them.

On a tangent, I’d like to drop in the slightly pedantic point that anarchism - at least as it’s usually defined - is a leftwing thing. Most of the great anarchist minds of the 19th & 20th centuries (Proudhon, Bakunin, Rudolf Rocker or whoever) use “anarchism” synonymously with “libertarian socialism”. Certainly the only vaguely successful anarchist uprisings (Barcelona, perhaps parts of the Paris Commune) were definitely down to lefties.
“All anarchists are socialists,” as the saying has it; “but not all socialists are anarchists.”
I make that point just because I think the notion that anarchism is kind of politically baseless, that it *isn’t* rooted in a form of revolutionary socialism, detracts from it and makes it a bit toothless.
I’m not an anarchist, for the record, though I am sympathetic.
