Oops I should have paid attention to the dates here, I just assumed this was a recent blog entry but I see that this is an old post from 2 years ago - obviously you no longer write here and this is essentially a dead blog. Too bad, it seems interesting, and the design looks great…

Is it me or is there no link to the “fake” site? I see the words there but they are not hyperlinked? I was curious to actually see the ripoff artists site compared to yours, but couldn’t.

Yeah. The same thing JUST happened to us. We had a copywriter help out with the content on our site, and when she went to go post to a job, she was told her work was a rip-off. She checked out the supposed “original” work - and it was some guy tottaly ripping us off! Word for word! One guy only stole our content, but he didn’t bother to change the “We” to “I”.

This is just hillarious, I can’t believe people do this. Of course people get inspiration from others, but I agree, this is a whole new low.

When designing, I almost always look to other pieces for influence.
Usually when I’m using ideas from something I like, the end result ends up being completely different anyways.

btw,I love your comment and response field designs, some of the coolest I’ve seen.
