Congrats to Lannan

26
July

Just wanted to congratulate my old roommate, John Lannan on reaching the big leagues this year. I lived with John while playing in Savannah, GA last year and this year he decided to completely dominate. He’s been through three levels of the minors this year and has finally reached the top. Wish they would play the game on TV but I’m stuck watching the D-Rays. Hopefully and I’m sure he will dominate in his start against the Phillies today at 1 p.m. Congrats again to him and hope to see him up there the rest of the year.

On a side note: I am pitching in a local beer league game on Saturday against the Tampa Tarpons, should be equally as exciting.

Almost Done With The Updates

15
July

It has been a long long time since any type of post. I just wanted to apologize for the lack of attention. It has been a pretty crazy last month, well not really but I like to sound as if I’m busy. I have been working on a few new web projects, creating logos, finished up some print materials, and moving Bryce down to Florida. Reena and I have also started some house shopping, so things are getting pretty

Lacing Them Back Up

22
May

Last night I got the urge to look for some local amateur teams to catch on with and see if I could start playing again. I was looking around and found the Clearwater League. I posted a bulletin on their website and got a response back later on in the night. Turns out the guy who is running one of the teams is from Rochester, MN and is looking for some pitchers. I’m really excited to lace them back up and start throwing

I Knew It! They Are The Devil!

Yankee Fan Admits To Training Terrorists.” It’s about time the Yankees are revealed for who they really are! I believe this can be generalized for any Yankee fan. If you cheer the Yankees you harbor Terrorists. I don’t see any Twins fans training Terrorists!

Classic Yankee Game

25
April

We all know my extreme hatred for the Yankees, but I can appreciate how they get the opposing teams fans into an absolute frenzy. Last night I went to the Devil Rays - Yankees game. Aside from the D-Rays winning the game on an 7th inning grandslam by Carl Crawford, which was amazing to see, I was front row for a battle royale. A group of kids around the age of 19 and 20 maybe were looped up on life and brought brooms to the game. Well during the exciting grand slam this one kid came running down the isle swinging the broom over head, well actually right at head level. The broom had grazed the top of my head, almost knocking off my sunglasses. The guy on the other side of the isle, wasn’t as

Bad News = Bright Future

28
March

Today I got the dreaded meeting with the Coordinator and I was released from the Washington Nationals. I had spent the entire Spring on the training table with an illness then a strained shoulder. I never threw against a hitter or put into any type of game situation. I was given the excuse that there wasn’t going to be enough room for me in Extended Spring so it was a numbers thing and I had to be let

Another Setback

24
March

Today I received some more bad news. I will be on the shelf for at least 7-10 days of absolutely no throwing. I get to run through all of the drills do the conditioning but don’t get to throw. With this news it seems as if I might be spending the first part of the season down in Florida rehabbing in extended spring

Nationals Spring Update

21
March

Alright well first I want to apologize for not updating this as I was originally intended. My near death experience put me on the shelf for over a week and ever since I have been trying to work myself back into shape. It took a lot of strength away and so I’m slowly getting back to where I was
